MENA FCCG takes part in the US-MENA Private Sector Dialogue (PSD) at the Federal Reserve Bank in New York

The PSD, held every two years, is organized by the Union of Arab Banks (UAB) and gathers regulators, senior executives, and compliance decision makers from the Arab world and the United States to discuss the challenges facing banks in implementing global sanctions.
The venerable list of 9 panelists included H.E Mrs. Elizabeth Rosenberg, Assistant Secretary for Terror Financing-US Department of Treasury, Ms. YoonHi Greene, Acting Co-General Counsel & Senior V.P. – NYFED and Mr. Sean O’Malley, Senior V.P. & Chief Investigator Financial Intelligence & Investigations Unit-NYFED. The MENA FCCG was represented by Mr. Chahdan Jebeyli, who discussed FATF updates and regulatory developments and by Mr. Antoine Hobeiche, who covered the risks and opportunities of Crypto Currency within the MENA region.
The Secretary General of the UAB and the Chairman of the MENA FCCG, Dr. Wissam H. Fattouh stated that “the US-MENA PSD is an exclusive gathering that bridges efforts between the US and the MENA financial sectors; it is designed for igniting heated discussions, merging point of views and finding solutions to our common compliance concerns.”
