MENA FCCG continues its outreach activities
Building on its outreach activities to banks in North Africa, MENA FCCG has initiated contact with the Federation of Sudanese Banks to explore how MENA FCCG members can provide a lending hand to banks in Sudan in bolstering their compliance programs via awareness sessions (in the form of webinars) in collaboration with the Federation. MENA FCCG has earlier conducted outreach to Algeria and Tunisia whereby the Algerian Financial Intelligence Unit and the Tunisian Association of Banks have sent the MENA FCCG communication to all banks operating in Algeria and Tunisia respectively. Separately, MENA FCCG is working closely with its strategic partner, the Union of Arab Banks, in conducting discussions with Federal Reserve Board (USA) officials as part of its efforts to enhance dialogue with global regulators.
