As part of enhancing financial crime awareness Elsharif Abd Elrazek, Chief Executive Officer Compliance and Corporate Governance – National Bank of Egypt, attended the Compliance Officers Committee Meeting in Cairo, Egypt in May 2019 where he briefed attendees on MENA FCCG including an update on key actions. The meeting gathered Chief Compliance Officers across the country with the Egyptian Money Laundering and Terrorist Financing Combating Unit (EMLCU) Chairman of Board of Trustees where they discussed, among other things, FATF recommendation on funds transfers and how to best comply with the new regulatory instructions aiming to ensure the fair treatment of customers.
