Collaboration between MENA FCCG and Crime Stoppers International
As part of its latest outreach initiatives, MENA FCCG is collaborating with Crime Stoppers International as a new alliance to develop awareness videos to combat various elements of financial crime. The endeavors of Crime Stoppers International are two-dimensional. It focuses on raising awareness when it comes to crimes that indiscriminately cross national and international borders destroying livelihoods and economies, preying on vulnerable men, women and children, and endangering animals and natural habitats. As an initial output of our partnership, both entities are making available a video on human rights abuses by financial criminals under the title “the Illegal Empire”. The short video, currently available in English language with Arabic subtitles, seeks to shed light on the true human impact of financial crime including as it relates to forced labor, slavery, and human trafficking and how lucrative it is for criminal actors. The video concludes with the significance of collaboration as necessary to increase individual capacity to detect and report human rights abuses and make a collective impact in the fight against these heinous crimes.
