MENA FCCG members participate as speakers in the DFSA Annual Outreach Forum in Dubai and the UAE Banks Federation backed regulatory Compliance event in Abu Dhabi.

MENA FCCG members Waheed Rathore of ADCB, Victor Matafonov of Emirates NBD and David Shepherd of Thomson Reuters, all participated in the first ‘Regulatory Compliance in a Changing World’ event in Abu Dhabi on the 27th of June. The event was attended by a large number of prominent members of the UAE compliance community, including a strong representation from the UAE Banks Federation Compliance committee, the Central Bank of the UAE and private sector compliance leaders from the UAE. Expertise on impact of changes in regulation, the impending FATF evaluation and new technologies were shared by the MENA FCCG members with teh audience.
David Shepherd, Group Secretariat for the MENA FCCG, also participated at the DFSA Annual Outreach Forum in Dubai on the 25th June. The event was attended by over 200 compliance professionals and regulators. David provided an update on the MENA FCCG recent activity. The Group also received very strong personal support and commentary, which was provided by Bryan Stirewalt, Managing Director of Supervision at the DFSA, who referenced the MENA FCCG as an outstanding example of public private sector engagement.
